This page provides general safety reminders. The current approved product label and advice from a qualified professional take priority for every product and application.
Before buying
Confirm that the product is currently registered for use in Ghana and approved for the intended crop, pest, setting, and user. Buy sealed products from an authorized source and reject damaged or unlabelled containers.
Before mixing or applying
Read the complete current label. Confirm the dosage, timing, weather limits, required protective equipment, re-entry period, pre-harvest interval, and compatibility instructions. Never guess a rate or use a household utensil for measuring.
Protect people and the environment
Keep children, animals, food, feed, water, and bystanders away from mixing and treatment areas. Prevent drift and runoff, protect pollinators and waterways, and never apply in unsuitable wind or weather.
Storage and transport
Keep products locked in their original labelled containers, upright and away from heat, food, seed, medicine, and living areas. Do not transfer a product into a drink or food container.
Disposal and incidents
Follow the label and local authority instructions for empty containers, rinsate, spills, and unwanted product. Do not reuse containers. If exposure or poisoning is suspected, stop work, follow the label first-aid directions, and seek urgent medical help with the product label or container available.
